Details of the latest meeting of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in St. Petersburg have been revealed by the press service of the Belarusian leader, BelTA has learned.
The heads of state discussed the Belarus president's upcoming visit to Azerbaijan.
As far as economy is concerned, the presidents agreed that representatives of the intergovernmental commission and the governments of the two countries will work out a plan of joint work for the next few years. Including joint manufacturing cooperation projects in manufacturing sector, agriculture, civil engineering, and defense industry.
The Azerbaijan president confirmed the invitation for Belarus to participate in the modernization and construction of infrastructure facilities in Karabakh.
Naturally, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev also discussed the international agenda. The Azerbaijani leader informed the Belarusian counterpart in detail about the situation in the Caucasus.
